October 2020 - Article in Accidental European - WHY REWIRING OUR FINANCIAL SYSTEM SHOULD CONCERN US ALL?   (click for full article)

The 2008 financial crisis deeply shook me. I lived the crisis inside out: I worked at Lehman Brothers, whose bankruptcy marked the crisis onset; I studied at universities which gave birth to and promoted the flawed free market hegemony; and I saw my then-husband lose all his fund’s assets overnight, since Lehman was his prime broker.
Understanding finance can foster a needed paradigm shift; I understand interconnections, but the future depends on everyone’s understanding. This is why I created a course on Sustainable Finance; and keep on exploring, learning, acting at my level, and hoping that others will be inspired to do the same.

January 2020 - Interview - Women Conference, TAHITI in DIXIT magazine

WOMEN ARE DIAMOND LEADERS

This year's DIXIT shines the light on women at work.

DIXIT is French Polynesia's first annual economic, social and cultural journal.

I am proud, and in particular very grateful to Dominique Morvan to dedicate an article to the recent women conferences I organized on #Leadership values and Social Enterprise - on how to inspire and encourage women to reveal their inner diamond and transition from #ChangeSeekers to #ChangeMakers 💎

August 2019 - Women Conference, TAHITI - ITW "Femmes de Polynésie"

LA VOIX DES FEMMES, POUR UN NOUVEAU CAPITALISME /WOMEN'S VOICE FOR A NEW CAPITALISM

I could have been resting on a beach in Tahiti during the holidays, but instead I organised a women's conference with 12 speakers on Leadership & Social Business. This conference was to inspire and encourage women to follow their dreams and launch impactful businesses, associations or change their existing companies from within #changecapitalism

- Why am I doing this? I can't help it. There's something greater than me pulling me into this. If I don't do it, who will?

- Why women? Because when women are empowered, the whole community benefits from it.

- Why now? Because it's urgent.

Thanks to journalist Jeanne Phanariotis and Femmes de Polynésie magazine for this open-heart interview.

July 2018 - TAHITI - C LIKE DIAMOND, OR INSPIRING

"C comme Diamant" - This was the first women-only conference in Tahiti in July 2018. It was a roundtable on the themes of Courage, Creativity, Communication and Body (Corps), the 4 C's to reveal the diamond in us.  7 experienced women, who have been reborn several times and have managed to align their personal and professional aspirations, shared their vision around those 4 themes. The targeted audience are women from all ages who would benefit from hearing inspiring stories to have the courage to follow their calling and reinvent themselves, or simply women who are looking for a positive, creative and caring network.

Thanks to journalist Delphine Barrais for this article and photo (that I've used a lot !)

SOCIAL BUSINESS - A NEW PATH FOR CAPITALISM?

At the Sichuan TV festival, my film was nominated as "Most Innovative" in the "Society" category. The jury's comment below is more relevant now than ever. Let this message "infect" the way we do and perceive business.

"What changes will commercial society bring to people's life? The creator uses experimental camera work to tell us the social property of ubiquitous commerce. Maybe commerce can relieve poverty, and in such a world full of conflicts, the documentary offers deep practical significance and fresh creative techniques" (!)

2013 - CANADA, New Foundland - St JOHN'S INT. WOMEN'S FILM FESTIVAL

My film "Social Business: a New Path for Capitalism?" was nominated and was among the 20 international documentaries which were screened at the Festival.

The program reads:

"A rare optimistic look at the future through the good work people are doing now. This highly inspiring doc both defines the concept of social business and demonstrates its appealing effects. Specifically, a team of French former bankers and profit-seekers bring their skills to villages in Cambodia. It’s a model for a hopeful future, considering the impossibility of our consuming endlessly into the future without sequences. Profit for profit’s sake got us into this mess, and produced the market-ethos of a Donald Trump and his ilk. Time to reboot the revolution."

I could not have described it better... and it was premonitory too!
